For 16 years, I have been researching and writing about drug trafficking, drug abuse, addiction and recovery and their effects on families and society. I’ve also studied and written about policy issues related to treatment and drug legalization. For more than a decade, I’ve been a full-time writer focusing not only on addiction but also on education, healthcare and a variety of other topics. I’ve driven to South Texas and Northern California and walked the streets of Denver to talk to people about their perceptions of the national problem with drugs.
I find that the older I get, the less patient and tolerant I am with the status quo and the more aware I am of causes and effects. All my life I’ve had the purpose to make the world better in small or large ways and in certain places and at certain times, I believe I have accomplished some changes for the better. I will never quit.
